Celeo supports the Bebeteca project in Brazil, promoting culture and early childhood education

Celeo supports the Bebeteca project in 15 municipalities in Bahia and Sergipe (Brazil), an initiative that promotes culture and early childhood education through school reforms, donations and teacher training.

In line with its commitment to social development in the communities where it operates, Celeo has supported the Bebeteca project in 2025, an initiative dedicated to promoting early access to culture and education for children between 0 and 6 years old. The project has been developed in 15 municipalities in the states of Bahia and Sergipe, regions where the company is currently building the 500 kV Xingó – Camaçari II Transmission Line and its associated substations.

Under the protection of Brazil’s Culture Incentive Law, Celeo collaborates every year in projects aimed at strengthening key areas such as culture, education, health, well-being, sports and social rights. On this occasion, the Bebeteca project focused on the reform of public spaces such as schools and nurseries, with the aim of turning them into welcoming and stimulating environments for both early childhood and their caregivers and families.

The intervention included the physical adaptation of the facilities, the delivery of children’s books and educational toys, as well as the specific training of teaching staff to guarantee a pedagogical and sustained use of the new resources. Thanks to this combination of infrastructure, content and training, the project seeks to generate a lasting impact on the educational and family environment of the beneficiary children.

With this action, Celeo reaffirms its corporate social responsibility policy, which is articulated on the basis of respect for local communities and the promotion of actions that contribute to human development and the improvement of the quality of life in its areas of influence. The support for the Bebeteca project reflects a broad and sustained vision of sustainability, where access to culture from an early age is an essential part of a fair and inclusive social transformation.
