Celeo to launch a new tender process for transmission expansion projects in Chile

The enactment of Law No. 21,721 on Energy Transmission, published on December 27, 2024, introduced a new framework for the development of transmission expansion projects in Chile, assigning the owners of the facilities subject to expansion direct responsibility for conducting the tender processes associated with these projects.

Within this framework, Celeo Redes Chile Limitada, part of Grupo Celeo and specialized in the operation and maintenance of electricity transmission infrastructure, will launch a new tender process at the end of June 2026 for several expansion projects linked to facilities operated by its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, including Nirivilo Transmisora de Energía S.A., Alfa Transmisora de Energía S.A. and Mataquito Transmisora de Energía S.A.

The process will include four expansion projects related to substations located in different areas of the country. Among them is the expansion of the El Ruil 66 kV substation (BPS+BT), corresponding to Decree 276/2025, with a 30-month construction period and a reference investment value of USD 2,423,877.

The tender will also include the expansion of the Loica 220 kV substation (IM), associated with Decree 200/2022, with an 18-month construction period and a reference investment value of USD 2,344,506. In addition, the process includes the expansion of the Candelaria substation, corresponding to Decree 293/2018, with a 24-month construction period and an estimated investment of USD 1,796,534.

The tender process also incorporates the line sectionalizing project for the 1×66 kV Hualañé–Parronal line at the Mataquito substation, associated with Decree 198/2019. This project includes a 24-month construction period and a reference investment value of USD 2,489,600.

For the development of the process, Celeo will soon make the Unilink Tender Platform available to bidders. The platform will serve as the official channel for the tender process, ensuring the confidentiality of bids, equal treatment of bidders and fair competition throughout the procedure.
