Celeo, together with our partner APG, has closed the purchase of shares to acquire 100% of the Colbún Transmisión S.A transmission lines business, according to the agreement that was signed on March 30. The purchase is made through the vehicle company Alfa Desarrollo SpA, 80% owned by APG and 20% by Celeo, who will also carry out the complete management of the assets.
Colbún Transmisión S.A. consists of 29 transmission line assets totaling 899 km and 27 transmission substations located throughout Chile. The portfolio represents around 5% of the total transmission market in Chile. In this way, Celeo has become one of the largest operators in the regulated transmission market in Chile in terms of volume of assets, with more than 1,935 km of transmission lines and 35 transmission substations located throughout Chile.
The price paid for this purchase amounts to USD 1,172 million, subject to adjustments. Prior to the purchase, on September 9, Alfa Desarrollo successfully launched the sale of bonds in the 144A / Reg-S format, Senior Secured type, for a volume of USD 1,098 million.
